Asia, the first part. Being an accurate description of Persia. The Vast Empire of the Great Mogol
London: the author, 1673

The exotic realm of the Mughal Shahs captivated European audiences. In the background the Mughal Shah sits upon an outdoor throne, while supplicants who prostrate themselves on the steps before him. In the foreground, elephants and camels jostle one another.

Ogilby took many of the illustrations of his work from Olfert Dapper's (1639-1689) work Asia (Amsterdam, 1672).
