Time Manipulation in post-Modern dance

Manipulation of time and chronology on-stage can also be found in experimental works of movement, texts and music developed by Meredith Monk, Robert Wilson and other post-modernists. In Monk's Education of the Girlchild, an ancient woman reverses chronology as she moves very gradually to the front of the stage, becoming younger with each step. Wilson's Deafman Glance shows the same action on two stage areas, separated by a time gap.
