1969: The Year of Gay Liberation
Dates & Locations
(Closed Sundays Except Where Indicated)
This panel exhibition is an adaptation of the exhibition
of the same name that was originally on view in The New York
Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, Fifth Avenue
and 42nd Street, New York, NY. Featuring reproductions of
photographs and documents from the Library's Manuscripts and
Archives Division, the exhibition explores the year that marked
a major turning point in the politics of sexuality in America.
