Raizel suggests that Sala use the German postal system, or Deutsche Reichspost, because it will be faster than the community mailbag: “We write very often but it looks like you didn’t receive anything … the best is to write by [German] mail and receive it in two days…. it takes 10–12 days through the [Jewish] community.” At that time, the German stamps bore Hindenburg’s profile.
