According to an old adage, a place is not discovered until it is mapped. This exhibition, which features materials drawn primarily from Humanities and Social Sciences Library's Map Division, depicts the evolution from an imagined West to a recorded West through maps ranging from 1540 to 1900.

Admission is free.


Exhibition Hours

Monday, Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Closed Sundays and, for holiday observances, May 26, May 28, and July 4.
