Federal Theatre Project's The Trojan Incident, 1938.
The Federal Theatre Project, Works Progress Administration, produced its version of The Trojan Women, called The Trojan Incident, in 1938. It emphasized the plight of women and children, setting a parallel between the Trojan War and contemporary conditions in occupied Europe. The production had choreography by Helen Tamiris and music by Wallingford Riegger. Image used for window card and promotional flyer.
