DICKENS ONSTAGE
As the well-spring for countless dramatizations, the
work of Charles Dickens can be compared only with that of Shakespeare.
During his lifetime, adaptations of his novels, which were issued
in serial form, appeared on stage in pirated versions even before
he had completed the stories.
